Nancy Gerardi

Director

My Passion Dance Studio was founded October 2nd, 2010  by Nancy Gerardi and her daughter Jessica Maillet  Nancy graduated in Argentina with a background in finance and when she moved to the U. S. she specialized in marketing, sales, and obtained various business licenses.

Jessica Maillet

Artistic Director / Choreographer

Miss Jessi loves to teach young children the art of dance and hopes to bring them to enjoy dancing as much as she does.

She began dancing at the age of three and has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Flamenco, Pointe, Hip Hop and ballroom dancing. She has participated in numerous performances, recitals, and competitions including Star Power, Starbound, Access Broadway, Dance Educators of America, CANAM, EDA and NDA to name a few. She has received many awards for solos and group dances throughout the years. She was the captain of her dance team in high school at Saint Dominic Academy. In 2009, Jessica graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts and majored in International Business and Dance.

Homeria Lubin

Instructor

Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in dance and was a member of Zodiaque, UB’s resident dance company. Lubin has worked on several UB productions such as Choreolab, Emerging Choreographer Showcase, and Dancer’s Workshop. Her work The Camel’s Back has been showcased in DUMBO Virtual Festival and ACDA Virtual Festival. Homeria has studied with many artists such as Tom Ralabate, Emily Greenwell, and Jana Hicks. Lubin is currently a member of the Maliek Dance Theater Company in NYC. Homeria’s goal in class is to give students the space to take risks and grow their artistry.

Danae Balladares

Instructor

Danae is a 20 year old Artist, now based in New York. She has been connected to the arts since she was a child, so she studied in different academies in Chile like Karen Conolly Academy, MDA Studios, Power Peralta Dance Studio, La Divina comedia, among others. Later she came to New York, where she studied musical theatre at AMDA. Danae participated in Cats, Simba, Mary Poppins and other musicals in Chile, she also participated in some Dance Concerts like Film Sympfony Orchestra with Lebo M, Frida Khalo, I Dream of Jeannie, Spring, Arab Tango and others.

Sarah Bombino

Instructor

Sarah Bombino began her dance career at the age of two, later studying ballet, tap, jazz, flamenco, contemporary, hip-hop, and ballroom dance. During her time as a young dancer and actress, she had the privilege of auditioning and working professionally in New York City. Sarah also held titles and won special awards at regional and national competitions such as Access Broadway, Dance Educators of America, Starbound, Starpower, and the United States Tournament of Dance. During Sarah’s college career she was a member of the Montclair State University Dance Team and competed at the Universal Dance Association.

Today, Sarah holds a master’s degree in Public Health from Montclair State, and currently helps families navigate the behavioral health continuum. She has developed a passion from teaching through her many years of dance education, and is devoted to empowering youth through creativity and movement.

Dominique James

Instructor

I started dance at the age of 8 in Teaneck NJ. I continued to train in ballet, traditional African dance, tap, hip-hop, jazz, and modern. I went on to dance at Harlem school of the Arts in Harlem, NY and then Progressive Dance Studio in Englewood, NJ. In college I danced on the St. Lawrence University dance team all 4 years and with a dance club called Graceful Movements which specialized in hip hop. I started teaching dance in college giving privates in ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap to local children. I have now been teaching acro for 5 years and I still teach hip hop, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and tap.
